boot time errors

Hi All,
I am using 9000 server. I am running 11.11 on it. I have two A6795A HBAs in it. It is connected to Storage Area Network using FC cables. Some how system was down, I rebooted. But it is not rebooting and failed at one place with an errore message

If I remove those FC cables and reboot, it is rebooting normally, no problems, if I connect those cable and reboot I am getting the above problem. If anyone knows about this please help me

thanks in advance

Re: boot time errors

You posted this to the wrong forum area, it should go w/ hp-ux or 9000 servers area... I'm sure it'll get moved for you.

Anywho, do you have the model and firmware revs handy? (pdc and gsp f/w?)

What exactly is it attached to?

Re: boot time errors

Well.... the usual questions still apply: Do you have the lastest patches installed? Have you search in the HP-UX knowledgebase?

http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/enterService.do

The following patch MAY apply, but it is NOT the exact panic string.

Re: boot time errors

It sounds like this puppy was running OK and then it went down somehow unattended. I would check very closely the Storage Area Network components, the connections, power, circuit breakers, fuses, etc. I would suggest that something with the SAN has caused the failure.
