change paper format from a4 to letter

on a windows 2003 server, I have the problem, that the settings of some printerdrivers are changing from A4 to letter automatically.
has anyone an idea? the drivers are all w2k3 and there are many of types like hp 4100, hp color laser jet 5500 etc..

Hi Rolf,

When you say "are changing", when are they changing? Presumably you set the defaults to A4. Are they then being changed again to letter?

Are you using the latest printer drivers? Is Windows up-to-date?

Presumably you know that even if the default size is set to A4, if you print a document that is set to print to letter, it will over-ride the A4 setting.
