need help for HP DV 6774 tx

last month i purchase HP DV 6774 tx laptop. in this system i am having vista home premium it is pre installed in my system. and also i am having Multimedia Drive,Blu-Ray ROM with Super Multi DVD±R/RW Double Layer.

basically i am a mechanical engineer. i want to install 3D software like PDMS and CAESAR. basically vista home premium can not support for those software. so i decided to install windows XP. if i install windows XP, the DVD drive is not working. it can not support DVD Drive. i can not find out driver software. i do not know how to solve the problem. now i worry about to purchase HP laptops.is anyof them help me to solve this problem.

It's an Intel chipset so start by installing the appropriate intel chipset installation utility.

Believe it also uses an intel graphics chip so check the intel site for a

Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family Video Driver for XP.

For your DVD the only thing I can find is this:

When you say it doesn't work do you mean it doesn't read or doesn't write or both?
