need to start my computer in safe mode

i just bought Spyhunter and it stated I need to start my computer in safe mode and then the spyhunter software. i dont how to start my computer in safe mode.
if anyone could help I would really be thankful.

"Note on Enigma SpyHunter: Enigma's SpyHunter anti-spyware application was listed on this page primarily because of the company's history of employing aggressive, deceptive advertising (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). The company was also known for exploiting the name "spybot" in its domain names and online advertising. These objectionable business practices were employed primarily from late-2002 to mid-2004.
Sometime during summer of 2004 the company halted the most obnoxious and objectionable aspects of its online advertising. It also unloaded all the "spybot" domains (which were promptly picked up by Paretologic for its XoftSpy anti-spyware application).

You failed to mention what operating system your are running. If it's a Microsoft Product i.e. 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP then to enter 'safe mode' simply start tapping the 'F8' key on your keyboard as soon as you see your first flickers of life on your monitor after a restart. You'll soon see a menu listing of start-up options, one of which being safe mode.

I would load Microsoft Antispyware instead.

Also, there are other programs to help but nothing beats a good antivirus program.
In any case the F8 key works for most but some use other keys. List the maker of the system.
There was a report done that a lot of spyware programs did not work well and some even loaded spyware. I do not know the program you mentioned but try the Nicrosoft product and if you want another program try Spybot Search and Destroy.

There's a whole list of malware cleaners listed at http://www.experts-exchange.com/Q_20975384.html . My personal favorites are Spybot S&D and AdAware -- both free and both very effective.
