quick question
i just got a new hp, and i was adding and deleting programs i thought i didn't need. Under add/remove windows components, i think i deleted something i needed. After i did that, my cd drive does not detect cds or can burn them. Does anyone know what i need so it will be able to work normally Again?
P.S. This thread has been moved from Storage> General to Microsoft > General. -HP Forum Moderator

Re: quick question
Can you tell us the model of the HP hardware you have? The Operating System? and any other information about the box?
It sounds as if you probably just need a program like Nero or Easy CD Creator or similar to get yourself back up to speed.
