reboot when opening applications
The workstation reboots when opening word or some application.
We did a IP scope change on the DHCP last night.
The ip is released and renewed on the workstations.
Having checked the event log we could find that the problem was due to the Print drivers.
After deleting the printers and re-adding them solved the problem in some of the workstations.
Some workstations still experience the problem after re-adding the printer.
Event ID 20
Warning.
Printer Driver RICOH Aficio 1045 RPCS for Windows NT x86 Version-2 was added or updated. Files:- RC11E100.DLL, RC11E130.DLL, RC11E13B.RCS, RC11E1us.HLP, RC11E1US.CNT, RC11E1US.DLL, RC11C1XX.DLL, RC11C123.DLL, RC4MON.DLL, RC00C140.DLL, RC11E140.DLL, RCINST.INI, RC11E172.INI, NEO35DAT.DLL, RICDB32.DLL, MFRICRES.DLL, RC4MANNT.DLL, TIBASE64.DLL, TIFMTA.DLL, TRACKID.DLL, RPCSECL.DLL, RDRVLOG.DLL, RCPRINT.DLL, RICJC16.DLL, RICJC32.DLL, JCUI.EXE, RCINST.DLL, RCINSTM.INI, RC11C170.DAT, RC11E171.RSB, RC11E18Z.RSD, RC11E19Z.RSQ, RC11E13A.RCS, RC11E13A.BCS, RC11E13B.BCS.
Can someone help regarding this?

Re: reboot when opening applications
It may not be the printer for the others. If the file "normal.dot" get damged it can cause LOTS of problems.
Try searching for this file. When found, either delete or rename. The next time Word is opened, it will recreate this file cleanly.
In the mean time I will continue looking for printer related things.

Re: reboot when opening applications
Ususal questions..
Are you up-to-date on all Service Packs?
SP6a for NT 4.
(I'm assumming from your post that you're running NT4 on the worstations.)
Have you loaded the most current drivers for your Ricoh imager?
