snapshot disaster recovery

Hi there --

I am looking into setting up a disaster recovery solution that accomplishes the following:

1. Takes snapshots of a system at a scheduled time, and saves the images to a remote Windows or Samba system.

2. Have the saved images be made into iso images that can be used to rebuild a system with all software and configuration restored without the need of further configuration from the administrator.

Two titles that come to mind are the Ghost and Acronis applications. Does anyone have thoughts on these or other suggestions?
