what's different between pdump and dump by Symantec Ghost 7.5 ?

can someone explain me the difference
between mode=pdump and mode=dump
by Symantec Ghost 7.5 Corporate Edition ?

dump = 1 physical disk

pdump = 1 or more partitions on 1 physical disk.

You would use dump is you were imaging a complete disk.

You would use pdump if you were imaging 1 or more partitions on a physical disk that had 1 or more partitions on it.
