EDIT and TEDIT file code in OSS

Hi,

Is there a way I can use the vi editor to edit a file on the OSS side and later modify it on the Guardian side using fup alter <filename>, code 101?

If this is not the right board, please direct me to the correct one.

Sincerely,

Student_T

Re: EDIT and TEDIT file code in OSS

After moving the file to Guardian from OSS the filecode will be 180.

FUP is not used to convert the file, instead to convert it from a 180 to a 101 edit file, use the system utility "CTOEDIT" found in $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.

There is also a utility called "EDITTOC" to convert back into a 180 filecode.
