Re: 8.3 -> 8.4 FTAM stop working

Ruslan,

an OSAK trace will not be written unless data has been exchanged at levels 5-7.

Look at what your system is telling you:
PDUs Received=0, PDUs Sent=0 (from the event that you quoted).

Event: Port Terminated from: Node LOCAL:.DTV1 X25 Access,
at: 2010-11-13-14:01:17.192+03:00Iinf
Client=OSI Transport Template OSI$TMP_00000061,
Type=Switched,
State=Open,
Call Direction=Outgoing,
Call Association=X25 Access Template "OSI Transport",
Protocol Identifier='00000000'H,
Channel=0,
Reverse Charging=False,
Redirect Reason=Not Redirected,
Fast Select=Not Specified,
Data Octets Received=0,
Data Octets Sent=0,
PDUs Received=0,
PDUs Sent=0,
Segments Received=0,
Segments Sent=0

We have saying in the old country:
"you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it".

Re: 8.3 -> 8.4 FTAM stop working

Hi, John!

"3) a CTF Trace
this will at least show us the outgoing call and if you got some kind of response."

trace start/live "x25l3 dte *" don't show anything on Alpha/OVMS 8.4.

Re: 8.3 -> 8.4 FTAM stop working

Hi Ruslan,

thanks for the info.

If you have a chance to compare the implementation on both systems then you should have noticed that there is a difference in your "X25 Access port terminated event". What is noticeable on your V8.4 system is the lack of a X.25 Called address and/or Calling address. Hence one can only suspect that there is a misconfiguration. Therefore I can only help you with the next steps if you can supply the following from your V8.4 system:

1) entry L5ESS in ISOAPPLICATIONS.DAT
2) your configuration:
NCL Definitions for
OSI Transport ...
X25 Access ...
X25 Protocol (if applicable)

Re: 8.3 -> 8.4 FTAM stop working

The problem was introduced by new functonality of the DECNet-OSI. Fixed by ECO.

Thanks to all!

What new functionality?
So can we assume you installed HP DECnetPlus ECO1?
