8.4 in Production.

We are working towards upgrading our production systems to OpenVMS 8.4.

Just curious. How many people have already done this? Particularly interested in hearing from sites running OpenVMS on blades.

If you have already done this or are considering it, would you be interested in sharing your experiences.

Re: 8.4 in Production.

I've got three clusters running 8.4 in production and our development cluster. All the production machines are Itanium's but not blades.

Only a couple problems I've run into.
1) Parse settings must be traditional before running tcpip$config.
2) Submit won't allow special characters for the job name even with the /log parameter. (Worked in 8.3).

Production machines have been running since February and our development machine since December.

Hi,

I have seen some entries in the comp.os.vms. You can also search there.

Shael,

Thanks for your reply.      What platforms are you running 8.4 on??

My environment is bl860c Itanium blades, + one lonely Alpha.
