ASO and max_smb_data_size increase

Hello,

According to the thread here :
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=870116

We are planning to increase max_smb_data_size to 16384. We use NT and XP PCs connected to a cluster of Alpha servers (VMS 7.3-2 ASO 7.3A ECO4).

Here are the questions :

- Is it possible to increase max_smb_data_size to a value larger than 16384 (or is it the "best " possible value)
- do you see any possible side effect

Thanks

We are running with

[LMSRV]
MAX_SMB_DATA_SIZE = 32768

on several systems without problems.

Thanks for your answer.

Is it possible to know how many PCs (NT/XP) are connected to you server / cluster ?

Re: ASO and max_smb_data_size increase

We run
- a DS10 with about 50-60 clients
- another DS10 with about 10 clients
- a DS20 with about 75 clients

All with V7.3-2 and ASo V7.3A-Eco4 at the moment.
