Re: Advanced Server V7.3A for OpenVMS

Is another application using port 139?

Do you habe multiple ethernet interfaces and is the PWRK$KNBDAEMON_DEVICE logical defined?

Pls.- see the chapter 3.11 of the AdvancedServer Installation and configuration manual:

Henrik,
AS7.3 has a patch to install. Did you install all the patch?

Re: Advanced Server V7.3A for OpenVMS

I had no problems prior to the upgrade and ther was not installed other programs (other than openvms 7.3-2 and as7.3a3)

I have the logicals :
"PWRK$KNBDAEMON_DEVICE" = "EIA0:"
"PWRK$KNBDAEMON_IPADDR" = "172.25.1.1"

I am running on a alpha ds20 with 1 nic.

It is working if i use netbeui but not on ip.

I have made no changes to the network setup.

Re: Advanced Server V7.3A for OpenVMS

Have you Multinet? AS V7.3A4 (Latest patch) solved a trouble with KNBDAEMON and multinet.
Because you migrated form V6.1, did you update licenses?

Re: Advanced Server V7.3A for OpenVMS

The license has been upgraded to pwlmxxx07.03.
I have some as server based and som as client based.

If You mean more than one ip when writing about multinet, then no.

The problem starts during load of the knbdaemon with the 'Port binding failed
'

I will try to upgrade to 7.3a4 to see if it solves my problem.

Thanks for all the ideas.
