Advanced server 7.3b - Multiple Nics

We have a VMS system running Alpha Vms 8.3 and AS V7.3b
The vms system has multiple Nics
We can mount / connect shares via Advanced Server on primary Nic (VMS) 10.192.23.xxx to a PC 10.196.23.xxx with No problems
BUT
when we try and mount using VMS Secondary Nic 192.168.1.xxx to a PC that has multiple Nics one on 192.168.1.xxx we can connect the share - but cannot open /see any files.
From VMS in ADMIN i see 1 Connection but 75 Sessions open the this PC on the 192.168.1. net

Re: Advanced server 7.3b - Multiple Nics

Hi,

No idea really :O). Advanced Server does accept connections on all interfaces. Is any error displayed on the client?

I'd get a network trace and see what's going on, but with 75 sessions from one PC, it sounds like a network issue.

Is the client able to use other TCP apps to access the VMS system, such as telnet, using the 192 interface (and not lose the connection)?

Hi Paul
yes Telnet /FTP are fine on the 192. interface
and I have taken traces from Both ends
can see the connections being made from the PC but not why.
