BIND server problem

Hello All!

This is a printout from my BIND-server logfile:
------------------------------------
Fri 03 05:57:43 ERROR: BUILD12$:[TCPIP_V53_BL18.SRC.BIND9_SERVER]IFITER_IOCTL.C$
Fri 03 05:57:43 ERROR: making interface scan socket: not enough core
Fri 03 06:37:47 WARNING: cache cleaner could not create iterator: out of memory
------------------------------------

Does anyone know know how to handle this problem?

Regards, Ola

Re: BIND server problem

It appears to be a virtual memory quota problem. Can you look at the quota usage of the BIND server process using AMDS/Availability manger, show process or other tool?

Re: BIND server problem

Ola,

I'm not behind my own box at the moment so I do not exactly know whether this is true (no reference...), but:

Paging file quota: 6128

seems quite low to me. My suggestion would be to raise this to say 50.000

Re: BIND server problem

That is the _remaining_ quota for the process queried, not the SYSUAF value. Whether that value is enough or not I don't know...
