Change User-/Accountname on OpenVMS

Hello,
i would like to change only User-/ Accountname on OVMS. Is it possible that all other Entrys
maintained?

What i must do?

UAF> RENAME oldusername newusername

Please check UAF> HELP RENAME first. There are some qualifiers regarding renaming of identifiers.

As Jan and Volker have noted, RENAME in AUTHORIZE will rename the account. Jan's note about the password is well taken, particularly the note that RENAME works the same as ADD with respect to password expiry.

I just want to add that the default in RENAME is /MODIFY_IDENTIFIER, so that the rights identifier associated with the UIC will also be changed by default.
