Changing Network Cards on DS25 VMS System

I have a DS25 Server with a PCI Gigabit NIC which is currently in use. I want to take that NIC out of the server and start using the onboard Gigabit NIC. How do I configure the system to use the other NIC, Where do I start???

Alan,

OpenVMS itself configures network interfaces automatically. But you may need to re-configure your communication products (DECnet, TCPIP, LAT, ...) to use the new interface.

You can check with SDA, which LAN interfaces are configured and which protocols are running on which interface:

$ ANAL/SYS
SDA> SHOW LAN

If you post the output of SDA> SHOW LAN, we can tell you which procotols need to be re-configured and how to do that.
