I have an alpha server 8200 with no graphical interface.
DEC Windows Motif installed for Oracle 9.2.0.2 installation purposes, when I started the XDM service and the decw motif the alpha server name appeared on the eXcursion Server but I can't connect to the server.
Attached file is the log of the xdm service.
I increased the PQL_DJTQUOTA to 32768 and the problem still there.
Regards.

Re: DEC Windows Motif
As you are also getting the following error "xdm error: Cannot convert Internet address 100.40.2.103 to host name"
Check whether your DNS server can resolve the above IP adrress or not? Or set this IP in local host database
for example:
$tcpip set host
HTH,
Thanks & regards,

Re: DEC Windows Motif
Are you check to increase JTQUOTA to oracle user?, and also check if 100.40.2.103 IP is defined on local host database.
Saludos.
Daniel.

Re: DEC Windows Motif
After adding ip in local host database, are you still getting error "xdm error: Cannot convert Internet address 100.40.2.103 to host name"
Try to restart XDM services and see again the log file.
Thanks & regards,
Lokesh
