Hi,
I have an RX2620 Integrity Server running vms8.3.
I am having problems however getting DECnet phase 4 configured.
I have run net$config to configure but this returns the following errors;

I have looked and there are EI devices and I have configured TCPIP.

Solution
Paul,
are we talking Phase IV or phase V:
Phase IV -> NETCONFIG.COm
Phase V -> NET$CONFIGURE.COM
But since the message say NCP I assum NET$CONFIG was a typo.
Pls. note, that DECnet has to be started 1st on any interface, because it wants to change the address of the interface.
regards Kalle

Re: DECnet Phase IV on Integrity
Thanks Kalle,
That was it I had configured and started tcpip first. then tried to configure decnet phase 4.
I stopped tcpip and configured decnet 4 without problem then restarted tcpip.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: DECnet Phase IV on Integrity
Hello,
In a multiple NIC environment I'd recommend you use Phase V in Phase IV compatible mode. It givs you better control over which NICs the protocol starts on and on which NICs the MAC address wil change for Phase IV compatible addressing.
Cheers, Colin (http://www.xdelta.co.uk).
