Customer is running DMQ V4.0 on an Alpha 2100 running OpenVMS 7.1. There are several large DMQ$EVL_nnnn_nnnnnn.log files. Anyone know if these files can be deleted without restarting DMQ, i.e. will DMQ simply create a new log file and start writing to it?

Solution
These are the Event Log Files. _nnnn_ is the bus group number and last part is the group.
Unless the file is currently is use it will be locked and cannot be deleted. I dont have my screen in front of me, but I remember a management option to roll over the Event logs. Have a look around.

Re: DMQ$EVL... log file
You are so right, I found it (dmqmenu, option 7, option LC). Thank you.
