Hi to All,
Really I am so sorry to ask such question, But I read many doc's about this but I didnt find how to enable the OpenVMS DNS to be autoupdate.
I Configured my system to be a DNS/BIND server then I tried to update anothe system IP/Addr but the DNS didnt update this host automatic and I reseave this message in the log file :
Sat 22 08:10:38 ERROR: client 100.98.98.96#1092: update 'VMS.EDO.COM/IN' denied
So how can I set the dns to autoupdate.
Thanks in advance

Re: DNS AutoUpdate
Mahmoud,
There is an item you need to specify in the config-file for DNS, to allow updates by other systems. This can be by IP-address (mentioned 'insecure' but I don't think this a real problem if the VMS box can not be accessed directly and you have a 'public addr4ss network (e.g. 192.168.x.x)) or by identifier (ACL-name?).
It is mentioned in the DNS configuration manual.
