Re: Decnet problems down

Miles,

At first glance, I would say that DECnet is not running.

Is DECnet configured and running on this system?

Re: Decnet problems down

Miles,

looks like DECnet has not been configured/started.

$ MC NCP LIS EXE CHAR

should tell you, if DECnet is configured and whether DECnet Phase IV or DECnet-OSI is installed.

Re: Decnet problems down

Miles,

Do a SHOW NETWORK.

Was DECnet started? Is the NETACP process active?

Re: Decnet problems down

Miles,

I suggest that you check the SYSTARTUP_VMS.COM file and verify that DECnet is started correctly on reboot.

Re: Decnet problems down

Miles,

Are you running Decnet IV or DECNET V?

Decnet IV must be started during your boot.
DECNET V is automatically started.

Remember that DECNET must be the first network protocol started.

Re: Decnet problems down

Bob C.,

Are you running Decnet IV or DECNET V?

The NCP LIS EXE CHAR output clearly shows, that DECnet IV is involved here.
