Defragment

While running defragment for system disk i am getting the below message. Is it okay to run defrag on this disk? I know it will slow down performance of the system for the time being but my concern is that it should not corrupt or crash the system..

Re: Defragment

So, what's "alphasys"? Have you tried
specifying a physical device name?

Re: Defragment

Or, perhaps, "disk$alphasys"?

Re: Defragment

Physical disk name worked!! I thought volume refers volume label.

Thanks,

Re: Defragment

The HELP is pretty uninformative/unclear:

DEFRAGMENT

VOLUME

Parameters

volume-name

The volume-name parameter is the name of the volume to be
defragmented.
