ES47 DATE TIME PROMPT

I have two ES47... One prompts for datetime
during the boot process, one does not. How do
do I inform the node that is aking for the date-time to not ask.

Thank You

Re: ES47 DATE TIME PROMPT

Bruce,

welcome to the OpenVMS ITRC forum.

The system parameter SETTIME controls, whether the system always asks for the time during boot or only, if it can't read the time from the watch chip.

SETTIME should be set to 0.

If it is and the system still asks for the time on boot, there may be a hardware problem (battery failure ?) on your watch chip.

Volker.

Re: ES47 DATE TIME PROMPT

Hello Volker

Thank you for your quick response. We suspect we may have a faulty battery. How do we check the SETTIME setting?

Regards

Bruce
