Re: Enterprise Directory won't start
Hi Jeremy,
I have checked my notes from the time when we did set-up the systems. We had two kind of errors, one as mentioned above when running the configuration utility and one that we never solved due to the fact that we shut down the system. In the latter case we found some information pointing to some kind of configuration problem in the OSI-stack as seen from the ED. I will not have at test system available for a week, but have You tried deleting all the configuration files in the DXD$DIRECTORY and the retry the configuration ?
Regards
Bengt.

Re: Enterprise Directory won't start
Hi,
I haven't tried deleting the configuration files and starting again, but this was a fresh installation so I wouldn't expect anything wrong with the files.
I have now logged a support case with HP, we'll see what happens.
Regards,
Jeremy Begg

Re: Enterprise Directory won't start
Thanks to a code snippet provided to me by HP OpenVMS support I was able to track down the problem.
After some searching through MultiNet V5.2 patch updates I found this comment:
"Correct errors in BSD 4.4 operations
ECO Rank: 3 UCX_LIBRARY_EMULATION-081_A052"
So I installed UCX_LIBRARY_EMULATION-102_A052, restarted the DXD software, and it sprang into life.

Jeremy Begg

Re: Enterprise Directory won't start
MultiNet patch updates did the trick.
