$ DEFINE SYS$LOGIN
As Wim found, it tries to use SYS$LOGIN -- then make that available!

Re: Error during use of TCPIP$SNMP_TRAPSND.EXE
hmmm,
on second thought, maybe SYS$LOGIN is not enough. In that case also define SYS$ERROR to the same location.
Proost.

Re: Error during use of TCPIP$SNMP_TRAPSND.EXE
Yep, I found it. Very rarely, my script used sys$scratch in the construction:
define/user sys$output sys$scratch:host.tmp
tcpip show host
In a detached process, sys$scratch is not defined, so this resulted in this message. So TCPIP$SNMP_TRAPSND.EXE was not the case of the problem.
Thanks all for the suggestions, they gave me a clou where to search.
