HP I64VMS SAMBA E3.0-10E002 on OpenVMS V8.3

Hi all,
Installation of last SAMBA E2 kit fail on V8.3

It says:
HP I64VMS SAMBA E3.0-10E002: SAMBA for OpenVMS I64 V8.2 and 8.2-1.

Then later:
SAMBA is for OpenVMS I64 V8.2 and above.

and ends like:

Portion done: 0%
%PCSI-E-S_OPFAIL, operation failed

Recovery pass starting ...


Recovery pass concluded

Do you have the same problem on I64 OpenVMS V8.3?

please note, that CIFS does not yet list OpenVMS I64 V8.3 as a supported version.

Please report your findings via the feedback button on the CIFS page to the development team.

The prior kit worked for me, on VMS 8.3 Alpha. I will check with engineering on this.

Then tell them as well what OpenVMS users EXPECT: Something just has to work, and this kind of issues are quite likely to be considered UNACCEPTABLE.

looks like 'HP OpenVMS CIFS Evaluation release 3' has just been released.

One of the problems solved is listed as:

- Inability to install on OpenVMS v8.3
