Hello everyone,
I need to clear, or purge, the record
that holds the local TCPIP host names
as shown in with the command:
$ tcpip show host
I'm using TCPIP$CONFIG.COM to set a
machine to an IP that is already in
the record and it won't let me do it.
Does anyone know how to clear this record
to remove the conflict?
Thanks for reading this,
-dB

Welcome to the VMS forum,
Assuming you're using TCPIP:
$ TCPIP SET NOHOST
See
$ TCPIP
tcpip>help set host

Re: How do you clear out the local TCPIP hostname table?
Using:
TCPIP>set nohost
removed the unwanted entry from the
local host/ip table.
TCPIP>set nohost
