Yes, some people are sitting in a nice, warm place surrounded by lots of OpenVMS systems. Don't get me wrong - that's fine, enjoy it.
Others, however have lost their jobs, because they have bet on an OpenVMS career.
When I meet other people I find out that a lot of them have a fond memory of OpenVMS. Times, however, have changed and good memory alone does not pay the living costs.

as this thread is going to go on and on and there is not going to be a definitive answer I think I will close it.
