How to set up SSL Telnet with OpenVMS v.8.3-1H1

How to set up SSL Telnet with OpenVMS v.8.3-1H1

OpenVMS supports SSH Telnet.

We are exploring the possibility of connecting the user Telnet session via SSL as the users' Terminal Emulator application supports SSL but not SSH.

Will OpenVMS support SSL Telnet ?

Stunnel will create a secured tunnel with additional software running stunnel service.

However, we are looking for an alternative not to involve additional software since the users' Terminal Software is already able to do SSL Telnet.

The question is whether OpenVMS v.8.3-1H1 supports SSL Telnet Host. And, how do we set it up ?

As usual, actual output from, say,
tcpip show version
would be more helpful.

Until today, I don't remember having even
heard of "SSL Telnet", so I know nothing,
but I'd guess that it doesn't.

Not much product-ID info in that description.

Why not use one of the many SSH-capable
products?

It seems that SSH will be an available option rather than going for SSL. Thanks everybody for the contribution.
