the LGI system parameters control the behaviour of intrusion detection.

$ MC SYSGEN
SYSGEN> SHOW /LGI
SYSGEN> HELP sys_p lgi

The limit i was referance was how many failure are there before a lock occur?

In that case you need to increase LGI_BRK_LIM. I always increase it to 5 - 10 because users often need some trials before they remember their passwords.
