Implications using fsetpos and fgetpos

Do functions like fsetpos and fgetpos have any implications on the EOF? Each time am reading an extra record which is obviously junk.

Ram,

fsetpos & fgetpos do not influence the EOF.
However, if fgetpos returns an error then the opaque struct fpos_t cannot be used in a subsequent fsetpos.
