ftp.itrc.hp.com and downloaded most of them but
the new V7.3-2 Alpha FIBRE_SCSI patch wasn't there
yet. Then when looking in /openvms_patches/layered_products/alpha, I saw it with a "." in front of its
name. This is the wrong directory, and the "." usually
seems to signify an ECO that has recently been replaced
by a newer version. (I suppose this is derived from the
Unix convention that files whose name starts with a dot
are hidden unless you really want to see them.)
Does anyone know if the ECO is broken in some way, or
was it just put in the wrong directory and they haven't
properly fixed it yet?

SolutionFIBRE_SCSI-V0500 contains the wrong version of SYS$PKWDRIVER.EXE. That means it doesn't fix all the symptoms it was supposed to fix. Expect a V0600 in the next week or so. Don't install V0500. If you have, please contact your local customer support centre for advice.
(I'm not sure if it's officially on hold, or if the ITRC mechanisms for holding a kit have been activated)

Re: Is VMS732_FIBRE_SCSI-V0500 on hold?
It would be helpful if the kit description text could be updated at the same time to have a BIG FLAG in the beginning of it noting that the kit has been put on hold or withdrawn.

Re: Is VMS732_FIBRE_SCSI-V0500 on hold?
if you try to download it, it says "Hewlett-Packard regrets that this patch, VMS732_FIBRE_SCSI-V0500.PCSI-DCX_AXPEXE, is no longer available from Patch Database.
(Error 7211)"
