Java X

This is not a VMS question but since this is my home cat ...

From within Microsoft IE you can use java applets to get a telnet session (e.g. via http://javassh.org/ ) . Is something simular existing for X windows ?

Ideal would be to get my complete CDE in IE but if 1 application window would be possible I would be happy.

Re: Java X

I think you rather want a real X server, e.g.:
http://www.pexus.com/
.

Re: Java X

Wim,

WiredX seems to be a Java X server emulator. Never tried, but there is the link:

Re: Java X

Also consider the use of firefox browser than the infamous product of the dark empire :-)

Re: Java X

Very good Bojan. I didn't find that one myself. But, my PC is a bank-PC and I'm not an administrator of it. So, I can not change the java policy and other items. So, doesn't work.

But I think that handling incoming connections will always require changing permissions. Damned.
