Re: LAT ports to modem has gone inactive
If you apply power while pressing the reset switch the server will reset to factory settings.

Re: LAT ports to modem has gone inactive
just a thought , has the silver switch on the network connection been accidentally moved from/to rj45/aui ?

Re: LAT ports to modem has gone inactive
I'll check with them today if they can confirm that.
I've checked the silver switch and it's on left side (looking from behind) which has a marking leading to the rj45 outlet.

Re: LAT ports to modem has gone inactive
i take it that you have the network cable in the rj45 not the aui side and the green connection light is on :-)

Re: LAT ports to modem has gone inactive
I've been looking around abit and I have found which VMS (alpha 7.3-2) that should supply my decservers with the image. The operator.log isn't containing any log entrys that says anything about load requests from the machine.
I'm starting to agree that this seems like a network connection error of some sort.
Going to see if I can sort out a serial cable so I can see what the terminal has to say about this.
Best regards

Re: LAT ports to modem has gone inactive
The machine came online again around 9 this morning, apperantly the switch had lost it's configuration and the port wasn't configured for 10mbit half duplex.
So special thanks to Mark for figuring it out :) You'll get a 10 pointer for that one :P
Now on to my next mission to find the lost passwords ;P
Best regards
