Anyone know what this is? There's also an undocumented DIR/LINKCOUNT qualifier as well!

Re: LinkCount On ODS-5 Volumes
ODS-5 supports *UX-style links, so I am not surprised that there also is a way to keep track of them.
fwiw,
Proost.
Have one on me.

Re: LinkCount On ODS-5 Volumes
Me thinks it has someting to do with the (also new, and hardly documented) qualifier
/VOLUME_CHARACTERISTICS=[NO]HARDLINKS
for the INITIALIZE command.

Kris (aka Qkcl)

Re: LinkCount On ODS-5 Volumes
$$ write sys$output f$getsyi("version")
V6.2-1H3
$$
$$ create a.tmp
*EXIT*
$$ set file/enter=b.tmp a.tmp
$$ directory/size a.tmp,b
Directory USER_x:[ZESSIN]
A.TMP;1 0
B.TMP;1 0
Total of 2 files, 0 blocks.
$$
$$ delete a.tmp;
$$ directory/size a.tmp,b
Directory USER_x:[ZESSIN]
B.TMP;1 no such file
Total of 1 file, 0 blocks.
$$
--
On a different system with a disk that has hard links enabled, I get:
$ delete a.tmp;
$ dir/size a.tmp,b
Directory USER_y:[ZESSIN]
B.TMP;1 0
Total of 1 file, 0 blocks.
