Hi Folks,
I've been asked to investigate messaging systems for VMS, the aim is to get messages from a VMS host to another system (could be VMS or a PC or anything).
I've looked at RTR which looked promising up to a point, the synchronous nature (effectively 1 transaction at a time) precludes its use.
Are the other systems (MessageQ, TIBCO) still available? If they are how do you get a trial license? The various sites seem to offer details for everything but a trial.
Hope you can help
cheers
Brian

Re: Messaging systems for VMS
Brian,
Can personally reccomend IBM Websphere MQ.
It's proven extremely reliable in our 24/7 environment, and comes with a nice API too. Works with VAX, AXP & IA64
Hope this helps,
Jeff
