Re: NTPD wierdness

Hi again,

Now I've checked you suggestions... these are the logicals defined:
(LNM$SYSTEM_TABLE)

"TCPIP$NTP" = "DSA0:[SYS0.TCPIP$NTP]"
"TCPIP$NTP_CONF" = "SYS$SPECIFIC:[TCPIP$NTP]TCPIP$NTP.CONF"
"TCPIP$NTP_ENABLE" = ".1.."
"TCPIP$NTP_RES_CHILD" = "SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]TCPIP$NTP_RES_CHILD.EXE"
"TCPIP$NTP_TEMPFILE" = "SYS$SPECIFIC:[TCPIP$NTP]NTPXXXXXX"

Also I changed all the owners to[TCPIP$AUX,TCPIP$NTP] since most of the files were owned by [1,1].

The drift file is at ;396 so that isn't an issue either.
node2>dir *2.drift;

Directory DSA0:[SYS0.TCPIP$NTP]

TCPIP$NTP_node2.DRIFT;396 1/9 2-APR-2009 12:07:08.79

Re: NTPD wierdness

Hi all,

I've found a solution now. It's not an optimal one, and I don't really understand why it works but it does.

Instead of hostnames I'm using IP's now and it seems to what I want it to.

The attachment is a debuglog where it shows and tells me that the the address isn't resolving (even thou it is if I'm trying to resolv from my shell).

Anyway, it works. Thanks for all the help :)
