Netbackup read errors.

Looking for some help with a problem that just popped up. All of a sudden the netbackup client on this OpenVMS6.2 box started giving this error...
FUSION[OPENV.NETBACKUP]>nbu
NBU> sho cli
%NBU-E-NOCLIENTRESP, client fusion (156.73.95.219) is not responding
%NBU-E-READSESSERR, read session error

I have restarted the service and the app but it never changes the state of the client. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. IF more infor is needed please let me know.

From the message, my first suspect would be the connection to the remote server at the listed IP address.

Have you checked the connectivity over the network?

It is difficult to troubleshoot with so little information.

Yes I have network connectivity between the server and the client. I can ping it and ssh from the client into the netbackup master. For whatever reason something is preventing netbackup client from communicating. In the logs I was seeing socket errors. Should I cycle TCPWare?

Miraculously this morning the client is responding fine. Seems to me maybe someone on the network team may have been doing something they shouldnt have been.

It might be a sound idea to check the documentation. There may have been an internal firewall or other restriction affecting the particular port used.
