Re: New DST effect on OPENVMS
Wow, so many inputs.
My both servers do not run DTSS, I get it confirmed. So what I need is to change the time manually.
and I will try to do it using
UTC$CONFIGURE_TDF.COM file at the
appropriate hour on March 11th.
but I am not sure whether only executing the file will change the time or I need to set the time using 'set time'ommand also.
Thanks,
Atul

Re: New DST effect on OPENVMS
re: using UTC$CONFIGURE_TDF.COM
If you have it around, I'd use the (yes, it's misnamed, there's no S at the end of SAVING) SYS$EXAMPLES:DAYLIGHT_SAVINGS.COM tool. That, or call SYS$MANAGER:UTC$TIME_SETUP.COM.
FWIW, the OpenVMS Engineer that is (or was?) maintaining this whole area of OpenVMS has traditionally and regularrly recommended using (only) SYS$MANAGER:UTC$TIME_SETUP.COM, and he has very specifically recommended against making any direct calls into the SYS$MANAGER:UTC$CONFIGURE_TDF.COM and to SYS$MANAGER:UTC$TIMEZONE_SETUP.COM tools.
