New HP printer CP5525 not supported
When can I expect a new version of DCPS? We are running version 2.7. We have new HP CP5525 color printers. When trying to print the these, we get %DCPS-I-USERDATA, %%[ ReturnStatus: 275 "HP Color LaserJet CP5520 Series" then the print job stalls. The display on the printer shows "Print data has been received that may not be complete."

Re: New HP printer CP5525 not supported
Hi Duncan,
>>When can I expect a new version of DCPS?
New version of DCPS release is not planned yet and Engineering is currently evaluating the timelines for the same.
And for the problem seen with HP Color LaserJet CP5520 Series printers, Engineering suspects that there may be some communication issue between the printer and DCPS which is making the queue to stall.
Hence as a workaround, Engineering would like to suggest the customer to use an LPD queue instead of RAW_TCPIP and define a PRODUCT_NAME logical to HPGENERIC which could work successfully.
Below is the command to define the logical :
$ DEFINE /EXECUTIVE_MODE /SYSTEM DCPS$_PRODUCT_NAME "HPGENERIC"
Where LPD_QUEUE_NAME is the LPD queue name to the HP Color LaserJet CP5520 Series printer.
Now use this LPD queue to print from DCPS
$ PRINT/QUEUE= FILE /PARAM=(YOUR_PARAMETERS)/NOTIFY
Please let us know if this works.
Thanks & Regards,
DCPS Engineering.
