OpenMVS MSA Utility

I'm trying to get a copy of MSA$UTIL (not MSA_UTIL). The link I've found (http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/MSA) is not valid. Searching the HP website doesn't return any results (the closest is a page that mentions MSA$UTIL and provides links to download ACUXE).

Does anyone have the new link? I need it for V7.3-2 on an Alpha.

Re: OpenMVS MSA Utility

This utility is a part of the update kits VMS732_UPDATE-V1500 or VMS732_UPDATE-V1400

The update kits are available to download from the ITRC patch website.

Re: OpenMVS MSA Utility

I'd still like to find the link for the standalone install kits for cases where the update kits can't be installed right away.

Re: OpenMVS MSA Utility

Eric,

MSA$UTIL is actually part of VMS732_FIBRE_SCSI-V1300 (which requires VMS732_UPDATE-V1300) and in further update kits.

Re: OpenMVS MSA Utility

Which means, loosely translated, pull down the PCSI kit and use a PRODUCT command to extract the executable file.

Re: OpenMVS MSA Utility

I know how to extract the files I need but having the standalone kits is faster (one PRODUCT INSTALL vs. a PRODUCT EXTRACT FILE with a list of the files and then a copy of the files to the appropriate locations).

No big deal, I guess, I'm just surprised the standalone kits were pulled.
