OpenVMS EOL?
I just heard rumors that OpenVMS is officially going end-of-life.
True?

Re: OpenVMS EOL?
My summary:
- The roadmap has lost all pretence of new versions or features.
- They can't even be bothered to port to the next gen Itanium.
- There is no official EOL for support on Itanium as yet.

Re: OpenVMS EOL?
I think I heard my first VMS EOL rumour in 1987. Since then I've seen NT and Tru64 actually go EOL. And Digital, come to that...
When the 5 year roadmaps first came out each was met with a 'Oh, VMS only has 5 years to live'. I think the first one was back in 1997.
As Mark Twain said, "The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated".
