OpenVMS Security profile

I have 2 machines running OpenVMS 7.2. I want to copy the Security Profile from one to another. Which file I should Backup and restore. One file I know is SYSUAF.DAT.

In case of emergency, we can remember all the UserID defined on 2nd machine and I want to overrid them with up-to-date profile.

Thanks

Re: OpenVMS Security profile

SYSUAF.DAT, RIGHTSLIST.DAT are the files for usernames and identifiers.

VMS$AUDIT_SERVER, VMS$OBJECTS, VMS$PASSWORD_HISTORY, VMS$PASSWORD_DICTIONARY are also relevent.

NETPROXY.DAT also might be useful

Re: OpenVMS Security profile

Hello Kit,

you should backup everything that you would setup as a cluster shareable file. On top of what already has been mentioned, the following are candidates:

vmsmail_profile.data, qman$master.dat, net$proxy.dat, sysalf.dat, sysuafalt.dat
