Opening ports in TCPIP

Am new to this arena. I need to find out how to to open port 22 on our VMS V7.3-2 system so we can start using ssh.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Which TCPIP product are you using?

If HP TCPIP Services for OpenVMS then go into
@SYS$STARTUP:TCPIP$CONFIG
and configure the SSH server.

Other products have similar.

Enter:

$ TCPIP SHOW VERSION

If you get a display that shows your version number, you're running the HP TCPIP. There are patches, including an extensive ssh update in ECO 4. Browse the patch database here on itrc for the latest update.
