Re: Openview for VMS
OpenVMS is not a first tier OS, so it will not get any management servers. Different software products (OVSAM, OVDP, OVNNM) have different capabilities. OpenView Data Protector, for example provides cell server support for HP-UX, Sun Solaris and Windows. The OpenVMS support is limited to Disk and Media Agents.

Re: Openview for VMS
This agent sounds quite good.... but i have to download and install the Openview Operations(OVO) Agent for OpenVms first and when you look at the information here :
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/openvms_ovo_agent/index.html
It says that it has to be installed on a Windows 2000 server but this is no good to me as i only have a Windows 2000 workstation locally, will it only work on a server??
So i guess i wont be able to use??
Cheers
John
