Hi folks,
AlphaServer DS25, running VMS V8.4. Attempting to install any patches using PRODUCT INSTALL fails with a dump as per below. Have tried UPDATE V8.0, TCPIP, one of two others. All pass the verification stage, then dump.
I have done an **bleep**/IMAGE of PCSI$MAIN.EXE and PCSI$SHR.EXE, no errors uncovered. PROD ANALYZE shows no database errors.
Any ideas?

SolutionProblem caused by corrupt PCSI database. Memo to the person who wrote the $ PRODUCT ANALYZE facility - it doesn't work.
Solution is to restore from backup, or build from scratch and use PRODUCT REGISTER to get the database up top date.
