Problem with show queue command

Hi All,

First day back today and the Alpha ES40 is not working properly it is up and running and users can log in however they are getting problems printing.
I have logged in as system and issue the show queue command and it just hangs and doesn't display the queues so am unable to start them any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Problem with show queue command

Is the queuemanager running?
Try a SHOW QUEUE/MANAGER or
SHOW SYSTEM/PROCESS=QUEUE_MANAGER.
The queuemanager can be started with STAR/QUEUE/MANAGER...

Are there any messages in the OPERATOR.LOG regarding the queuemanager?

Try a
$MCR JBC$COMMAND
JBC$COMMAND> diag 7
%JBC-I-DIAGNOSTIC,
Log for playback = 0
Save old Journal files = 0
Log all requests = 0
Dump on error = 0
Checkpoint: State = 1, In-memory blocks = 101

Re: Problem with show queue command

It happens sometimes (but rare).http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=879393

Just kill the queue manager with stop/id and restart it.
