Procedure for rename an Alpha DS25 server on VMS7.3-2

Is there a special procedure for rename an Alpha DS25 server and change his decnet adress on VMS7.3-2 ? Where can i find some help ?

Berlioz,

It depends a bit on the DECnet protocol you're running (IV of V).
To change the name of an Alpha system, change the SCSNODE system parameter, to change the DECnet phase IV address, change the SCSSYSTEMID ( areano. * 1024 + nodenr) system parameter, & reconfigure DECnet.
You will have to reboot.

If you use proxy, don't forget change proxy name on other side nodes.
