Re: Qucl jumps jumps next hurdle!

Yes, Kris,
I remembered the pronounced version, but I couldn't directly find the spelling, and was too lazy to look very serious.
The double jump probably stems from the Duvel I was having at that time :-)

And yes, I have some in stock, so I will have (at least) one this weekend.

Proost.

Have one on me.

Wim,

The Q has a history. When I did my first real assignment on a VAX (way back in 1986, writing a symbiont), the company had the policy of handing out account names with three (3) letters, so "kcl". But since I was hired by them, not employed, they stuck a Q in front, hence Qkcl.
I really liked the sound of it, and I kept it as a nickname.

Fan of Queen ?

Yes, and of Bob Dylan, David Bowie, CCR, Deep Purple, Bruce Springsteen, Meat Loaf, Alice Cooper, Rammstein, Within Temptation, just to name a few.
The real Queen maniac in the family is my brother.

Re: Qucl jumps jumps next hurdle!

Kris,

this explanation makes me ashamed of not getting it right first time.
_MY_ first username (on ICL) was QJPE.
Derived from JPE (you'll recognise that) and a "Q" for everyone allowed to use the timesharing program "QMMA" aka MaxiMop...
